Au Canada, dans le Grand Nord, un bûcheron coupe
son bois pour l'hiver. Après deux journées de coupe, et plusieurs stères
transportées, il en vient à se demander si sa provision de bûches sera
suffisante. Les hivers sont très froids, dans la région. Il va donc voir un
vieux chef indien, un peu déplumé, pour savoir si l'hiver sera rigoureux.
Il
pose sa question, et le chef lui dit: - Ugh ! Hiver sera rude.
Alors le
bûcheron retourne couper du bois, encore et encore. Au bout de quelques jours
de durs labeurs, il retourne voir le vieux chef et lui repose sa question. Et
le chef répond: - Ugh ! Hiver sera rude, très rude !
Alors le bûcheron retourne
bucheronner. Pendant quinze jours. Puis il retourne voir l'indien. Qui lui dit:
-Ugh ! Hiver sera rude, très très très rude !
Alors le bûcheron demande au
chef: - Mais, Grand Chef, comment peux-tu savoir cela ? Et l'indien répond: -
Quand homme blanc couper beaucoup de bois, c'est que l'hiver sera rude

How do we inspire ourselves to greatness when nothing less will do? How do we inspire everyone around us? I sometimes think it is by using the work of others.
